When I first began practicing integrative veterinary medicine, I noticed a critical challenge: helping pet parents grasp the depth of this approach during a short appointment.
A routine 15-minute exam often focuses on immediate concerns or basic health checks. In contrast, an integrative consultation delves deeper, requiring more time to uncover the root causes of a pet’s health issues, discussing detoxification, and exploring personalized therapies. These are new and often complex concepts for many pet parents - even for those that apply integrative human medicine to themselves!
Trying to explain this comprehensive approach in a single 1 hour session was overwhelming for pet parents. There’s too much information, and 6 months later they forgot key pieces of information.
Integrative medicine isn’t just a treatment, it’s a lifestyle transformation that involves the entire family.
For this reason, I developed a foundational course that educates pet parents
before their appointment.

You will find that each time you watch the course, new ideas jump out for you to implement. While you watch the course, keep a list of your questions and concerns. A specific plan for diagnostics, therapies and supplements will be discussed during your first visit whether in person or online.
